-Dr. Richard A. Nichols
I would recommend Dr. Nichols to anyone I know. He is very skilled and also has excellent people skills. He is a Doctor who really cares about talking to and listening to his patients. — P. Izzo
Finding medical care in which you feel complete confidence and trust can sometimes be frustrating as well as discouraging. I received Dr. Nichols; name as a referral from a friend. Dr. Nichols truly cares about his patients and has your best interested at heart. He listens; takes the time to fully explain everything; he is cautiously aggressive in treatment and gets the desired results. — L. Flaherty
I want to thank Dr. Nichols for the help he has given me. I went to you in desperation after suffering under the care of another doc with severe heel pain. You weren’t even my second opinion – you were my 4th! You correctly diagnosed me and recommended I wear Z-coils 100% of the time. After 6 months of exclusively wearing them, my feet were healed (boy do they look snazzy with a dress!) and I have been able over the last year to start walking miles each week, do yoga again, and begin getting back in shape. I am even planning to run a 5K this fall. I can’t thank you enough for giving me my life back! — M. Strause

Dr. Nichols and his wife, Mariann moved from Milwaukee, Wisconsin to the Metroplex in 1985 setting up his first office on Main Street in Grapevine, Texas. A couple of years later he outgrew his office and moved by Baylor Medical Center in Grapevine and opened another office in Keller, Texas to better serve his existing Keller patients. Dr. Nichols and his wife worked round-the-clock to accommodate his growing practice, making sure every patient was cared for even if it meant coming in after hours to set a fracture or tend to an infected toenail. They both immersed themselves into the community to meet the people and contribute to its growth.
Dr. Nichols and Mariann now reside in Grapevine, Texas. They have two successful grown children and four grandchildren. They are very active in the Northeast Tarrant County communities by assisting with various needed fundraisers over the past 23 years.
In December of 2000, Mariann was diagnosed with breast cancer, which created a personal epiphany that began a strong campaign for awareness and participation to find the cure. The Nichols became spokespersons, publicly speaking about the disease and how it has impacted their lives. Mariann soon originated the cancer support group at Baylor Regional Medical Center in Grapevine. They have held charity functions in their home and in October, 2001, they hosted and paid for a dinner and public auction for Baylor Cancer Research collecting over $18,000 in contributions. Today, Mariann is cancer-free, but her heart still promotes her forward to find a cure, along with Dr. Nichols.
